Rotary Pilot Tree and Landfill Reduction Project-Dallas Texas
We would like to thank the following people for helping us design this pilot program. We launched it at EarthX 2024 in Dallas Texas with The Rotary Club of Preston Hollow. Our plans are to launch it nationally in 2025
Allen McReynolds, as the President of the Rotary Club of Preston Hollow, TX, has a strong background in environmental stewardship, particularly in supporting tree organizations. Throughout his career, he has been actively involved in various initiatives aimed at tree conservation and reforestation, advocating for sustainable practices that enhance biodiversity and mitigate climate change.
Andrew Siegel, the Dallas Mayor’s Environmental Commission Representative for District 10 since April 2022, plays a key role in advising the City Manager and City Council on the Comprehensive Environmental & Climate Action Plan (CECAP). In addition to his environmental work, Andrew owns a Junkluggers franchise in Dallas, where he promotes sustainable waste management practices. He actively engages with businesses, community organizations, residents, and stakeholders to ensure that Dallas’s climate action is effective and equitable, driving sustainable policies that contribute to a resilient future for the city.
Regina Edwards, District Governor of Rotary District 5810 in Dallas, Texas, is dedicated to environmental sustainability and literacy. Through her partnership with Carnival Cruise Lines, she will deliver medical supplies and books to Latin America eight times this year. Regina’s efforts focus on keeping books out of landfills by donating them to libraries and schools, ensuring they reach communities in need while promoting education and recycling.
